Laboratory of iconography

Located on the fifth floor of the scientific research building and charged by chief technician, Ms. Miao-Li Zhang.

Main research interests:
a)Preparation and observation of electron microscope samples and taking and developing photomicrographs
b)Grey level analysis on nerve tissue staining and three-dimensional reconstruction of neurons and nuclei composited by neurons
c)Observation of samples in light filed, dark filed and under fluorescent microscope and taking and developing photomicrographs

Domestic and foreign co-operations:
Close co-operations in the fields of taking and analysing photomicrographs of light and electron microscope samples have been carried out with the Department of Morphological Brain Science, Graduate School of Medicine, Kyoto University in Japan and the Olympus Company, Japan.

set of transmissive electron microscope (Hitachi H-300, Japan)
set of transmissive electron microscope (Philips CM100, Holland)
series of photo analysis system (Leica Q500-MC)
set of advanced fluorescent microscope (Olympus BX-60)
set of research photo micrographic microscope system (Olympus Vanox)
set of automatic photo-developing and fixing machine (DTK, Dosaka, Japan)
