Kunming World Horticulture Exposition

In the World Horticulture Exposition, multifarious plants and flowers, gardens and horticultures are all the heroes of this large stage - the World Horticulture Exposition.

Now there are more than 1,500 kinds of trees and about 2,000,000 trees including the new planting and transplanting. Among them, there are more than 80 kinds of rare plants such as fine paulownia, bare China fir, Bole tree and southern ormosia china fir and etc. listed in the first and second class preservation trees.

Additionally, there are six large special gardens: tree garden, bamboo garden, herb garden, vegetable and fruit garden, potted landscape garden and tea garden. Each is green and emerald with a lot of precious and strange things. The green ancient woods, the elegant bamboo with romantic charming and the delicate fragrance of herbs are showing people different plants' history, development course and present condition.

In the Expo Garden, do you know which garden has the highest science and technology characteristics and includes the most extensivelyω It is the Big Hothouse. It includes many kinds of rare plants and strange flowers and grass in different climates and regions such as tropical zone, subtropical zone and temperate zone, expressing rich kinds of plants in nature and beautiful and colorful natural landscapes. Entering the hothouse, you will feel dazzled with lots of fragrance.

In the World Horticulture Exposition designed as the subject of "man and nature", the beautiful landscapes all over the world are collected here and displayed on the land with fairy large area. It decorates Kunming called "Spring City" from ancient time to a "plant kingdom". Of course, Yunnan(云南) itself has rich kinds of plants, which is also the strong backing of the whole World Horticulture Exposition.
